What if Islam never reached the Somali peninsula

I have 3 theories
1.) We would be like one of those jareer countries and we would be split between roman catholics in the south and protestants in the north.
2.) We would make our own type of christianity mixed with waaq iyo eebe like Ethiopian tewahedo.
3.) We would be the stubborn Somalis we are and stick to waaqism to this day like how Indians have always sticked to Sikhism.

Sikhism isnt that old. It dates from about the 15th century, around the same time that Portugal first colonised parts of India. Islam precedes it by almost a 1,000 years and Somalis were probably Waaqists before the advent of Islam.

Well now instead Somalis worship dhegcas, like Sudan, so I don't see your point. Also from my experience today's Somalis have very little self esteem, identity or xishood.

this is a later day experience kinda recent, our ancestors looked down on the white man and Bantus and arabs alike in the 1800s/early 1900s, this we run after arabs is new in my opinion, i know for example our sultan, sultan Ahmed Magan of jubbaland in the early 1900s banned Ogadens from marrying arabs like cadcads and arab minority, heck we even once banished an Ogaden king to wajir in the 1880s for marrying an arab woman and his children, my grandfather was part of a delegation in the 1980s to apologise to his descendants and bring them back to Ogadens, reer cabdille took 40 girls and the kings great great grand children brought us 40 girls and we married each other thus bringing them back to the fold,

in a nut shell, i dont know if the racism is heavily just among somalis but in general have never been in awe of another race, well not until 1991

If you think no Islam means no Al shabab you are mistaken. We probably would have something like LRA especially if we were christian. Somalis are stubborn when it comes to religion but It'd be kinda cool if we had our own type of crhistianity.

since when are we oromos why would we have worshiped an oromo god. i think we would have been orthodox Christians. since the abysinian church was the strongest in the region. any way i think islam was the best thing that happened to us. somalis oo Christian ah wa somali iska weak jacaylka jesus ka sheekeynaya. when islam a religion a warrior religion. its suits our character. islam is part of our identity
