I think there is allot more fight in the empire, nobody is underestimating them.
I certainly dont underestimate the amount of chaos and destruction they can dish out, even while losing.
There is a tiny window, a slim chance where the failure of the empire doesnt result in collapse of civilization and destruction of the entire ecosystem.

Sahal was posting in the other thread. But it looks like Al-Qaeda (Hayet Tahir Al-Sham) has effectively convinced all of these US-vetted groups like FSA Idlib and others into one umbrella or else they'd eliminate them. They've punished groups who have gone to Astana/Geneva and now they're doing their offensive in Hama while the SAA is on the road to Raqqa.

Now it looks like the SDF/YPG and US forces are going to take Raqqa and establish a US-base there.

So is Syria going to be balkanized? That's what "safe zones" mean

but they have had to work with the Kurds, this limits their action.
with the kurds in force they cannot use raqqa to funnel more of islamists into the fight against assad , meaning that SAA can ignore raqqa while they consolidate elsewhere.

Lets wait for official response from Russia or Iran.

they can be changed and updated in minutes. This is not the 80's, computer technology and electronics have come along way.

It doesn't block the new updated seekers that were developed and put into production the last 5 years. Josh Landis talked about the US is aiming to control the oil and water resources. Convincing the SDF and Arab tribe militias to make no deals with Damascus and basically will sabotage anything of the sort.
