Postby CigaalSHiiDaaDCFC » Tue Jan 31, 2017 10:14 pm

The muslim ban or any other thing trumpf is gonna do in his frist term can be undone except the supreme court! this judge is young only 49 he is gonna reshape the court for decades. now its splits 4-4 when he is confirmed it will go to conservatives 5-4.the left is doomed.

Or he can end up like David Souter appointed by a Republican President supported by conservatives and end up leaning left. Or he can end up like Anthony Kennedy another Republican appointed Judge that that conservatives hate. Or he can end up like Antonin Scalia and just die in office.

This pick isn't going to change the court. This is just replacing Scalia with a similar conservative judge who takes the Constitution literally. (though he might be a little more moderate)

He is pro-police, pro-business, pro-big money in politics, and anything else conservative.

The next pick may change the court. Kennedy is going to retire and while he is conservative he has sometimes gone with liberals in surprise decisions. Trump will get to pick his replacement.

The Democrats better hope Ginsberg stays alive for 4 more years. She probably should have retired in 2013 when the Dems had 55 US Senate seats so Obama/Harry Reid would get a younger liberal in there. Otherwise if she dies or retires, Trump will stack the court to 6-3.

Mitch McConnell obstructed on Garland and it paid off.

Dems should filibuster and have McConnell use the nuclear option to end the filibuster and 60 vote requirement down to simple majority of 51.

It would be a good thing for the future...
