Does it ever occur to you that Africa never had a revolution?

Postby PureQ » Fri May 12, 2017 2:14 am

With the recent turmoil in Venezuela and the upcoming bankruptcy/chaos in Italy, it got me thinking about this.

Does it ever occur to you that there are revolutions around the world because there people who actually care about solving high unemployment rate, corruption and social instabilities in their country? it could easily trigger nationwide unrest because of these problems and it shows how people want their problems fixed so badly.

However, it doesn't happen in the sub Saharan Africa. There was never a revolution, turmoil or uprising in our modern times. It is usually the foreign agencies who have the power to topple them and install another dictatorships but not the people themselves.

When the Arab spring happened in Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen and others, everyone thought it will spill into Sudan and the Horns of Africa but NOTHING HAPPENS.

Why are Africans unable to confront the problems they have in their countries and not stand up and actually do something instead of rotting and begging for foreign aids?

Africa has had many revolutions, but the west propoganda machine calls it civil wars/uprising/anarchy. Somalia had a revolution in 1993, well before the arabs, but did we get any western support?

Africa doesn't need any more overthrow of governments in favour of new systems. i. e. No more "The leader was killed/ran away/exiled, now meet your new leader same as the Old one"

I think what Africa has never experienced is an awakening something like a renaissance!

Revolution only works if you have plans and vision.

The Arab srpjng was a disaster for Egypt and Syria.
