This is an area where there is little room to manouver for the US, you have 2 choices , attack and suffer massive casualties and write off hundred of thousands of south korean and japanese casualties or swallow your pride and sit down and talk.

My belief has always been that the technological advancement North Korea shows, Iran has it and the much better version. Iran originally obtained Scud missiles from North Korea which started its missile program and Shabab missiles are based on Hwasong-7 missile. Iran doesn’t have the military protection like North Korea does from China. So Iran cannot openly test its own weapons like ICBM and nuclear tests. So Iran uses or helps North Korea with its technology to test its own weapon systems and help North Korea with its progression. Israeli missile expert Uzi Rubin said Iran missile and space was vastly more superior to North Korea; he said around late 2008. Iran has FAR greater financial, industrial, technological, scientific and human capital than North Korea does; so his assumption which he supports with facts is completely right.
