10,000 soldiers is way too many. Thankfully the main base is located far away from population centers.

I like the qoute by Djibouti ambassador to China. He was direct by saying he looked forward to China army and training DAF. The naval facility storage will store many types of munition that DAF can utilize.

China will play great role in the reunification of Ethiopia and its Djibouti.

That's the end goal here. China sees Ethiopia as its mirror-reflection in the African continent and as far as Djibouti is concerned that is like its Hong Kong.

Ethiopia backs China's sovereignty claims over Hong Kong and Taiwan and in return China recognizes Ethiopia's claim to Djibouti.

However this is not made public but are pushed through economic, infrastructural and political integration such as the railways, highways, ports and the base will come handy long after Europeans and Americans are pushed out.

Ethiopia played very well and China is slowly moulding Ethiopia politically, sociologically, philosophically, economically and militarily into small China in Africa. From embracing "Made in China" (now Made in Ethiopia), hence manufacturing powerhouse to exerting greater power in the region.

Ethiopia is well on its way to recapture its Hong Kong.

They're investing a lot in Djibouti and in the region with their One Belt One Road Initiative so it's no surprise they want to protect their investments also if you combine the US 4000, the French 2000, and the other countries it will probably come to the same number as the Chinese even though they have not invested as much as the Chinese, the West only points to the Chinese troop number because they want to scare people.

In a statement titled "Will the Chinese army move to Djibouti quickly?" posted on its official website, the Embassy of the Republic of Djibouti in China implies the answer is "yes" by quoting its president Ismail Omar Guelleh and defense minister Hassan Darar Houffaneh.

"We hope to have more military cooperation with China, so as to strengthen the muscles of Djbouti's armed forces," said Houffaneh was quoted as saying.
Actually, defense minister is attributed to the above quote; ex-defense minister Houffaneh.

Expect the disappearance of the local stray dog and cat populations. These oriental types are savages.

There’s a reason it’s called Djibouti. The smelly French who don’t shower, the Americans who don’t wipe their ass, the Japanese with their vile sexual fetish and Chinese who eat anything all call Djibouti home and ran through that skin burnt charcoal booty of the Djiboutian masses. Djibouti is a brothel wrongfully is that called a nation. :russ:

you're welcome guys

You can catch an STD if you want. They openly defecate on the streets and don't even wash their own genitals and anuses once they use the restroom, that is if they even go to the toilets to begin with.
