Most reverts change their names. Although not required to do so, they're encouraged. Now, the Syrian parents appear to be conservative (beards, hijab), so one wonders what they were thinking by naming their child after a non-Muslim who is probably racist, anti-Islam, anti-Muslim, etc. The French are among the worst racists, and those in Canada aren't different. For Justin-Trudeau, this is a photo-op that would translate in to political capital in the future. And I wonder what would the parents do if Justin-Trudeau falls from grace (arrest, conviction, etc) in the future. Would they rename the child?
