What Is It With Blacks And Africans That They Embrace Victimhood???

Post by Murax »

For starters I am Somali, Black, African so I'm speaking with a collective "We"..

In light of the shocking CNN Documentery illustrating How slavery is thriving in Libya, as well as other established facts showing How slavery exists to this day in Yemen, Mauritania, this vexing question came to My mind. Somalis were undoubtedly one of the nations represented in that horrific slave auction in Libya. You ofcourse had the infamous slavery in the US that the repercussions of are still felt to this day in the African American community. You have European Colonialism in Africa that for all intents and purposes was similar to slavery as far as I'm concerned. My Question fellow Somalinetters is very simple: What the HELL is it with us blacks, Africans to Where We are always the victims, the abused, the enslaved? Why are blacks ALWAYS the prey and never, ever the hunters? Why do We seem to embrace and thrive in being victims, captive, slaves?

Not trying to derail your topic but it's quiet amusing how you like to be lumped with the "we is black" nation, yet can't bring yourself to accept that SL is a separate nation.

To answer you Q.... Because Africans/Blacks are hypocrites. Just like you.

Bcz we are donkeys. We are intelectually inept. We destroy our countries, we dnt let those of us who are doing well to prosper. We envy them and bring them down. As the above brother mentioned You, urself cant see sland get ahead and get recognized. We kill our own, we are dabo dhilifs who work for those who abuse, colonize and enslave us. There were black peopl who were selling other black to the white men back in the day and there are blacks ppl who are selling other blacks to libyans today. We are cursed ppl.

To ameliorate the deterioting plight of Africa, the world must first recognize Somaliland.

Well Africans were made for slavery. Look at the continent! Not a single country that free of corrupt, and governed civilize-ly! Liberia Africans are particularly dumb Africans, equaled to the south Africans blacks! I think these two African nations live up to the blacks having low I.Q ! If I had my way, I would have Europe govern the Africans, just like the United states governs the black americans. U see what a good life the African americans are having? Imagine if there was no white man, they will eat each other. LOL

Most Africans hate themselves. They all want to be non African and the ones who are overtly pro African usually mask their inferiority complex.

Colonialism, historical revisionism has a lot to do with it but the main culprit is religion and in particular the Abrhamic faiths that almost 80% of Africans adhere to. 3 Religions that claim a divine origin yet exclude us from their creation myths despite the fact that we’re the aboriginal people of this planet.

According to Judaism, Christianity, Islam when Adam was kicked out of the Paradise he landed in the Levant and from there mankind spread. The depiction of the so called prophets and their origin also insinuate a non African origin. We also have the curse of Ham and the notion that Africans descended from a man that was cursed by God. The punishment of this man was dark hue and that his descendants would be slaves for their brother for eternity.

However this is far from the truth.

We know for a fact, based on modern genetics, that the oldest known male and female ancestor of every living human (Y-chromosome Adam and Mitochondrial Eve) lived in the Horn of Africa specifically southern Ethiopia. They were black Africans.

The concept of monotheism and the worship of a single deity associated with the sky originated in the Northeast Africa (Nile valley) according to archaeo-linguistics. The first group to adopt this concept were Proto Cushitic speakers. In other words, Africans were the first practitioners of monotheism, thousands of years before the Torah, Bible or Quran even existed.

The Afrasan language family (Afro-Asiatic) also originated in the northeast Africa/Horn of Africa approximately 12 000 - 10 000 BCE. All the subfamilies of this language family are found in Africa, only one subfamily is also found outside Africa.

•Omotic (Africa)
•Cushitic (Africa)
•Egyptian (Africa)
•Berber (Africa)
•Chadic (Africa)
•Semitic (Africa + Middle East)

If these prophets did exist their languages descended from an ancient language spoken in Africa 14 000 years ago. Jesus Christs mother tongue descended from an ancestral African language. It’s obvious that non Africans can’t accept this reality because of politics but why can’t Africans?

Now the questions we need to ask ourselves are.. was the “divine source” unaware of these truths when he narrated the creation myth or the genealogy of mankind in Genesis? If he was unaware can we really call him God? If he wasn’t unaware yet chose to narrate falsehood shouldn’t Africans re-evaluate their relation to these Abrahamic faiths? Only a fool would believe that Judaism, Christianity and Islam are not manmade.

Need to add..

Manmade religions also carry a narrative that’s modified by human bias and different agendas.

In my opinion Africans should distance themselves from these Abrhamic religions and reconnect with their ancestral beliefs that’s often based on spirituality while striving for modernity and technological advancement.

Unfortunately the black race have been cursed with very tough and complex upbringings and situations, it's quite tough to cope with short-comings and ineptitudes so instead of dealing with these serious plights that the black/african communities are dealing with we instead point the finger at the "white man" and try to bring each other down with the "Crab in the barrel" mentality.

It's quite obvious that each group of blacks/Africans are dealing with different problems, but the root cause is usually all the same. A lack of being self-reliant within our own communities. This is caused by primarily ignorance and pride, which has plagued the somali community in particular for quite a while. The African American community face a myriad of challenges as well, but most of it starts from shifting blame and being overly-reliant on the "white man". As long as you're supporting black-led businesses, scholars, and shifting cultural norms there will be change.

Culture is very important to an individuals impact and understanding within a society. If you've been brought up believing you're a victim and being held down by some higher being, you'll act within those set parameters. However if you've been raised to believe you're no different than those who hold positions of power you'll be able to make something of yourself and relay that information to your family and hopefully the community at large.

A few communities that I am quite impressed with is the Japanese culture and to a lesser extent Chinese and South Korean cultures. They have fundamental understanding about their societal values no matter where they are, this allows them to feel equal to all and not have an inferiority complex or view other races in a superior manner. Something that blacks and AA's struggle with is viewing their own as figures to be applauded and looked up to. etc etc This is obviously a topic that is far ranging and quite complex, but the necessary solutions are quite simple in theory but seldom applied in reality.

Glad to know you agree.

But then again you are one of the few daarood dudes who appreciate SL achievements. You clean from cuqdad which is why you appreciate the wisdom of my statement.

Be happy for your brothers good fortune first, before you worry about Libya, and the slave trade.

You use sarcasm to good effect lool

Their history and upbringing probably has something to do with it. Honestly it would be best to move every nigga back to Africa.
