Stop the BAN ON KHAT IN LONDON

Banning Khat won't help anyone. All it will result is in:

1. Illicit trade in khat which will claim countless dealers and innocent grazers.

2. Shortage of Taxiiles - Who is going to drive the cabs ?

3. Hurt the Khat industry which employs thousands of people.

4. Increase consumption of substitutes like weed or alcohol

5. Higher prices for the Green Leaf.

The Khat ban here in the States has done no good and hurt hundreds of Somalis who have been arrested.

SUPPORT YOUR RIGHT TO GRAZE !

Qurux, criminalization doesn't change people's behavior. Khat is deeply rooted in our social fabric.

The khat issue needs more study. The criminalization of khat simply won't stop the trade but drive it underground. It will increase the prices and land more Somalis into jail.

Imagine if your Abti Jama was seen buying jaad and he called to ask you for a lift. U go and pick him up and all of a sudden there is a police raid.

You are now both arrested and looking at 2 to 5 years in prison.

The worst thing is that u were innocent.

Although I think it is a little too late for this ,I overall support it.
Khat has absolutely no place in your day to day life in the western world.
Let them pay 40$ for a bag of dried up and fucked up garaabo like I do from time to time , hadday ka maarmi waayan , laakin mirqaan aan laga baxayn ayaay ku jiraan reer inglan Laughing

It's cheaper up in your State simply because of the demand . There are 10 times less Somalis in my state.

Lol@ Ban.....

Even if they do, so what? The only places that it will be banned from will be Marfish's, people will still find a way to get it.
Besides, chewing here and there or on the weekends is one thing but, the people that go to the marfish or chew on an almost daily basis have addictive personalities. If not chaad, then something else.

Better Chad then alcohol, I think you'd agree Abdi hutu Smile

On another note, I find it hard to swallow that a few people can make decesions for hundreds/thousands. In any case, not just chaad...that includes abortion and a slew of other things.

Buh-Bye
