Turkey to spearhead Somalia-Somaliland peace talks?

Postby AyubD » Thu Jan 11, 2018 8:24 pm

Looks like Turkey is cooking something for Somalia. I wonder if it is their planned next step or it was necessitated by the recent developments in regards to Sudan, and Djibouti's offer to open a Turkish base in their country. Few days ago Sl president, Musa Bihi Abdi, visited Djibouti after being officially invited by the Djibouti President, Ismail Omar, who himself visited Ankara a month ago. What were the two president really discussing in the meeting? The timing of these three events is suspect here.

Will Turks ask for an auxiliary base in SL? Are they using Djibouti to bring SL in line with their geopolitical objectives in the region?

Something fishy is going on.

I doubt the peace talks will bring tangible results unless Turkey offers something that is too hard to pass up for both Somalia and SL. Maybe major infrastructure projects for both. Who knows.

One thing is for sure, Saudi Arabia and UAE will make everything possible in their hands to undermine it. New round of Arab bribing is on the horizon for Somali politicians!

Muuse biixi and ismaciil cumar geele discussed the uprising in ethiopia and if worst comes to worst how they should whether the storm. The situation in ethiopia is more pressing and concerns this two country more than the paraplegic muqdisho gov and the phantasy of sl somalia ever uniting.

Djibouti is a known supporter of united Somalia. All of a sudden, IOG officially invites MBA to Djibouti "to discuss wide range of issues, mainly boosting the bilateral cooperation between the two countries, security and development". I don't doubt the situation in Ethiopia was on their radar, but it is obvious from news feeds that the range of discussions was far beyond that. Has any SL president visited and received on this level in Djibouti before?

There is an apparent escalation in the regional rivalries on the Red Sea with a lot of money being involved. No way it wasn't discussed at their meeting. I suspect it was the main reason for the invitation.

SL's annual budget is what $300-400 millions? Djibouti is not exactly rich either. There is not much they can do to stop Ethiopians crossing the border in millions. Much bigger and stronger countries with better protected borders like the U.S. and Turkey can not contain large-scale illegal migration.

.
Djibouti, a tiny state in the Horn of Africa does not recognize Somaliland’s secession efforts but maintains its stance that it is part and parcel of Somalia. Somaliland, Djibouti share land and sea borders and could strengthen bilateral ties on areas of security and development.

What is up with Turkey and Somalia Ayub??? I mean, i am not at all opposed to their interference. So far, i have seen positive stuff. The social media Intergrated TV anchored by the beautiful Hodan Naleeyaah is sponsored by Turkey. She went to Somalia and showed us a school Turkey built in Xamar. Amazing. In fact, the kids learn Turkish language, even can sing in Turkish language. They also learn Arabic and English. I say, walaahi this is amazement in manifestation. Better than Chinese i guess who just invest in building roads and business, while the Turkeys are giving or showing us how to fish and help ourselves in the future. Investing in our youth is Bismillaah! :eat:

Turkish education use to be good but then Erdogan came and replaced Science + Islam with Jihad + More Islam. They took evolution out of high school courses because they said the young adults wouldn't understand it , but they kept jihad as learning courses

Evolution should be under Islam. Islam clearly states how human evolved, no need for monkey theories, even though, in the bible Gospel the Israelis were turned into monkey when they disobeyed Gods command of no fishing on Sabath day! lol

Sxb speak for yourself, I don't think we particularly hate or love Russia or Iran.

Russia and Iran are doing a service to the world by exterminating Sunni extremism and agents of Saudi Arabia.
