Rent here is maximum 1000 dollars a month if you pay fortnightly. But then again Melbourne is spacious and not so cramped whereas London is. Limited space= competition for houses= expensive rent

Makes sense, even here with a population of almost 2mil and not enough houses being built to keep with the population, we've seen rent sky rocket.
