The news coming out of Somalia just goes from bad to worse.

There is no real political leadership in the country.
Somalia fits the definition of a " basket case" country.

The sad reality is that there is nothing positive over the horizon.......I can't see any real change to the corruption, chaos, violence and poverty.

When those lived; educated; and have seen democracy and good governance in the west, came in, held positions, and plunged the country into chaos, what do you expect those who have seen only chaos to do?

Well pointed out it seems those of us who came and lived in the west have not learnt anything and contributed nothing possative after returning, infact they are worse than the ones who never immigrated

Isn't it the right time to ban the diaspora holding top positions in the government?

I can't see any solution to the continued turmoil.
If you want to wait for a new leadership to emerge you'll have a very long wait.

Somali politicians circulate from local to federal and back again. Its a tragic situation for the masses....Somalia has so many resources it's unimaginable yet we have a leadership that can't see beyond their own noses .

gobdoon is rite. y'all need to be optimistic. tha ex italian colony can have a brite future ahead. here is how they can get it

accept Somaliland divorced Somalia. recognize reality of Somaliland sovereignty

al shabab neva mess wit Somaliland cause they got tha best ex SNA n ex SNM leaders so Somaliland Army start wearing Amisom uniforms in tha ex itialian colony. just like Kenya, Ethiopia, n Djibout

get rid of Kenyans in Jland. free NFD

peace followed by economic boom in tha ex italian colony. If Pland rejoins tha rest of tha ex italian colony they will benefit too. if Pland remains stealth secessionists, they gonna remain underdeveloped. me tink they gonna reunite wit tha rest of tha ex italian colony

Somaliland, da eledest Somali state, gonna be happy dat his ex partner Somalia's peace dividend. 1st step is Somalia accepting she got divorced by Somaliland so dat Somaliland army can wear Amisom uniforms to help Somalia defeat ISIS in Pland n al shabab in Southwest
