I was looking deeper into one the emperiors post and it looks like the ahmed gurey and the imam ahmed have been conflated in oral tradition, (but not in written books) So now i have a little theory of why ahmed gurey is popular instead of the imam ahmed ibrahim al ghazi name. Sheikh nur hussein was the brother of ahmed gurey hussein and thats how he got popular among somalis as leading the second conquest. Theres this book that @the_emperior5 quoted that i would love to read but i cant seem to find anywhere, its called Hadj Yusuf AbdulRahman (editor), Kitab Rabi’a al-Qulub fi Dhikr Manaqib wa Fada’il Sayyidina as Sheikh Nur Hussein (“The Springtime of Hearts in Memory of the Virtues and Merits of Our Lord the Sheikh Nur Hussein”), Cairo, 1927.IF ANYONE could send me the link i will highly appreciate it.
