I know what I wrote is not Swahili but it sounds like it.

Anyhow the language with most native language speakers in africa is Arabic. Second is Hausa and third suprisingly is Somali. According to wikipedia.org Which you can take with a grain of salt or crack.

I believe the 30 million + speakers of Afan Oromo are in 3rd place.

Gurey you could be right. However plenty of Oromo's can't speak Oromigna anymore because they have been amharidized. According to wikipedia it say's Somalia is the third most native language in africa in terms of native speakers.

It says Yoruba is ahead of Somalia with 19 million native speakers. However Somali language is native to anywhere between 13-25 million people.

The Oromo language has "18 million native (ethnic group 30 million), perhaps 2 million second language, = 20 million total (1998 census)"

Too much infiltration of Amharic is what I say.
