Cawar, thank you for the wonderful topic. I'm sorry this morning I had to run to work. It was 7:30 am my time. I almost forgot that Eid holidays finished and I had to bring my butt in the office
When I was confused, I tried Christianity as I said before there was something in Christianity couldn't sit with me. I did courses 'comparative religion'. The courses were about the three Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) and compare them to get better understanding with each other.
Back to the topic I read the Bible more carefully (with a concordance by my side to tell me the meanings of the original words instead of the translators' beliefs, from what I understood from what I studied, the Bible is not like Kuran. It is not a revelation that came to one person to be compiled by him alone or by his followers. The Old Testament consists largely of historical records, the laws (revealed to Moses), and the prophecies later on. I think we may safely assume that all the authors had the intent of worshipping God. It was not written at one sitting, and no one person claims that the title of author. The New Testament was compiled by various authors as well.
The four gospels (Injeels), Matthew, Mark, Luke and John found in modern day translations, revisions and edditions of the holy bible contain only bits and peices of the origional injeel. The origional injeel has been added to and subtracted from by human efforts.
Keep in mind also that the complete injeel never made it into the origional manuscripts and for that reason were never placed in the canon or bible.
