First, both the news article and the think tank study used UNAIDS figures. You can read the original report by clicking the page I provided and scrolling down to 2005 UNAIDS reports. The study didn't rely on any prejudiced stats to the best of my knowledge.

Second, there is no rational explanation why the UN would compare the richest top percent in the West against the poorest bottom percent of Muslims. It makes no sense at all unless they maliciously wanted to present slanted stats. Why would respected Institution like the UN go out on a limb and risk it's reputation? Moreover, as anyone least bit familiar with stats knows, when comparing the rates of 2 different populations, you take samples that fairly represent the studied segments.

This is a myth of course. Like the myth spread by some towelheads in N. Africa while back. Telling muslim mothers not to inoculate their babies against polio 'cause the polio vaccine was designed by the West to sterilise muslim women. As consequence of incautiously accepting this pernicious lie by muslim imams, muslim babies were abused of polio vaccination leading to polio outbreak.

What web of lies? I said muslim's 'moral behaviour' is not much different from Kafirs. I presented FACTS to support that opinion. I don't have to give you stats for EVERYTHING, just one area and I prove my point.

You disagree, ignore the facts I presented all the while not presenting ANY FACTS to support your theory that muslims are morally better behaved.

its sad, how some muslims like to deny the fact that yes, there is aid, and other STDs in muslim countries. in my previous international studies course of the middle east, they did a research to see the presentage of aids in the arab world, and most of the countires said 0.3%, while other countries in africa and the west had higher rates. i sure that the presentage is much higher, but muslim countries are ashamed to tell, because it is not expected and it "not something muslims do".

For muslim countries to have the same infection rate as Europe is actually
remarkable.
Europe though quite immoral is far better educated about contraceptives and condom use, while many in the islamic world are ignorant about these issues.
The amount of people having unprotected sex is actually quite high,
theve just been very lucky so far.
and the morality and strong family traditions have prvented this spread,
or probably reduced the speed of the spread.
