The Law26: Thanks for everything, mate. Once more, you're the kind of people who makes me feel comfortable in places like this, a open-minded muslim with his really worthy points, someone to discuss with in a friendly way.
It's true that I attacked the most retarded interpretations of Islam (which doesn't mean to attack Islam) in the past and I'll keep on doing in the future. I critizised some things because I don't understand them (or have a lack of knowledge about them, or simplely I dislike them). But that doesn't make me anti-muslim. As Galol says, there's a lot of things that you can critizise, but with a good basis and good points of view. With good discussions.
Once said this, I think that what the Western press is doing with the cartoons is offensive against a culture, a religion and the believes of the people. You can be agree or disagree with Islam, you can critizise if girls have to dress like this or like that. You can even doubt if Adam and Eve existed... Anything. But what you can't do is to be offensive against a group of people.
And the mass media are being offensive against muslims. And what is worse: they know that, but they're not stopping on their attitude, which is helping the fanatics in the old message: "Hey, don't you see it? That's democracy: insulting Islam, insulting our prophet". The Western media are helping now to the fanatics of Islam and leaving no room to the moderate people who's trying to maintain a dialogue West-Muslim world.
And, what's worse even. As Galol says, Muhammad could do this or that, but he didn't carry bombs. Those cartoons are portraying muslims, all muslims, every muslim without exception, as terrorists or potential terrorists. And that is a FUKKKING LIE.
Western mass media are no doing any favour to the dialogue between cultures, to the 'freedom of expression' or democracy. You can't help anybody being offensive. They should understand that there are certain things that are sacred for muslims in the same way that there are certain things that are sacred for Westerns. And they wouldn't allow that those sacred things were profanated.
It's sad and it's disgusting. At least, for me.
My solidarity from the West, The Law26.
