Yes, but WHY can't you say: I believe in Allah and not Mahamed? What's so hard about that?

Kamal

Nice to hear from you again. The idea of making Muhammed into a cartoon was designed to offend. This was not designed to start sophisticated debate about faith or immigration or integration or culture. It was not even about freedom of speech as the pro media are selling it. It was merely designed to provoke and offend. It is no wonder that the whole cartoon episode in Denmark started as a challenge.

But surely the question we should be asking ourselves is this: should people react so angrily and violently to a simple challenge offensive though it is?

Islam and Muhammed deserve some criticism and then some. This is a once decent idea about reform and improving the human condition that turned stagnant and is now a vehicle for oppression, backwardness and sporadic violence. Islam is now in the same stage as Catholicism was during the Inquisition when Venice was designated Heretic because of its openness to ideas of science and reform.

I do not find the picture of Muhammed's head as a bomb funny because I know Muhammed was not that kind of character. He was not a murderer. He was not a thief although he did participate in robbing expeditions at the behest of his uncle and mentor Hamza. He was in fact a (qualified) Che Guevara of his time - a rich boy who wanted to improve the lot of humanity.

So yes I would have preferred a more realistic and more sustained criticism of Islam and Muhammed. But the media have every right to be nasty and degrading even if the degrading is not based on fact.(Muhammed involving in a sex orgy is probably more factual than him killing. he was a hedonist!)

So it pains me to see this ancient Hippie Arab shown as a killer. But Muslims should not react so angrily. they should chill out.

She was released with an apology from the DC police department. She was ejected from chambers, but she was not prosecuted.

The Law26: Thanks for everything, mate. Once more, you're the kind of people who makes me feel comfortable in places like this, a open-minded muslim with his really worthy points, someone to discuss with in a friendly way.

It's true that I attacked the most retarded interpretations of Islam (which doesn't mean to attack Islam) in the past and I'll keep on doing in the future. I critizised some things because I don't understand them (or have a lack of knowledge about them, or simplely I dislike them). But that doesn't make me anti-muslim. As Galol says, there's a lot of things that you can critizise, but with a good basis and good points of view. With good discussions.

Once said this, I think that what the Western press is doing with the cartoons is offensive against a culture, a religion and the believes of the people. You can be agree or disagree with Islam, you can critizise if girls have to dress like this or like that. You can even doubt if Adam and Eve existed... Anything. But what you can't do is to be offensive against a group of people.

And the mass media are being offensive against muslims. And what is worse: they know that, but they're not stopping on their attitude, which is helping the fanatics in the old message: "Hey, don't you see it? That's democracy: insulting Islam, insulting our prophet". The Western media are helping now to the fanatics of Islam and leaving no room to the moderate people who's trying to maintain a dialogue West-Muslim world.

And, what's worse even. As Galol says, Muhammad could do this or that, but he didn't carry bombs. Those cartoons are portraying muslims, all muslims, every muslim without exception, as terrorists or potential terrorists. And that is a FUKKKING LIE.

Western mass media are no doing any favour to the dialogue between cultures, to the 'freedom of expression' or democracy. You can't help anybody being offensive. They should understand that there are certain things that are sacred for muslims in the same way that there are certain things that are sacred for Westerns. And they wouldn't allow that those sacred things were profanated.

It's sad and it's disgusting. At least, for me.

My solidarity from the West, The Law26.

If they are so ugly, why do you fukk them then? Don't you have good taste on matter of girls?

I'm agree that the Spanish girls are not as beautiful as Somali girls. That's why I prefer Somali girls.

Tenerife is a really good place. I love Tenerife Sur zone, La Orotava and the town where the milenary drago is...

Enjoy our country.
