Guri Gaajo

Postby kambuli » Fri Feb 03, 2006 6:08 pm

I love people who save. People who throw away their money senselessly disgusts me, especially when they end up with lots and lots of debts.

But what I do not like most are those households that keep the family hungry in an effort to save money.Their children are all in a state of mal-nutrition even though they live in a country were food is abundent. They do not provide adequate clothing for the harsh climates. That money goes back to Somalia and families brag about the size of the house they built back home. Those huge houses are empty or occopied by an ungrateful relative. A friend of mine told me when you ask these ungrateful relatives where they live they say " Looga hadhkii".

I always loved this song although I do not like the laughing part.. but it tells how hateful is "guri Gaajo."

Demolition,

Most somalis are lanky and skinny. I don' t find that ugly to be honest. It' s gracefull. I hate too much muscle. You can be built without being too bulky.

You are right about our diets which lack variation. It depends from household to household iyo sida ay hooyo walba ay u firfircontahay. Most somalis kids aren' t too fond of khudarta which are very important. We think that hilib and caano are the 2 most essential sources of vitamins which it clearly isn' t.

Back home it was mostly because of ignorance that we did not eat most of the food that was available. Like Sea-food, vegetables that even grew wild etc Only "Cad iyo Caano" and the xxxx laxoox was our diet.

But when we came to the west where food is abundant it is not fair to starve kids Twisted Evil
