Big difference. You changed the subject from INTERPREATIONS by others to TRANSLATION. There is NOTHING wrong relying on others to translate for you since you yourself can't speak the language.
But here is the catch: languages no matter how old or quaint are LEARNABLE. You don't know classic arabic or arabic in general? No problemo, you can learn it and then read the quran yourself. You don't absolutely need someone else.
Depending on others, however, like needing them to explain the meaning or how a particular verse or sura is be practiced, is depending on other's interprations. Hence, you're worshiping what THEY tell you and not what Allah tells you.
