British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, or Ali G, as he is known on his television program Da Ali G Show, has been threatened with legal action by angry authorities in Kazakhstan for his portrayal of fictional Kazakh TV personality Borat Sagdiyev.
Kazakh officials have complained about Cohen's act in the past but this is the first time legal action has been mentioned. Last January Cohen led an audience in an Arizona bar singing what he called a popular Kazakh folk song, Throw the Jew Down the Well
