Is the mind lazy to think and engage in productive tasks?

Postby DamallaXagare » Fri Mar 10, 2006 7:53 am

I have been thinking of how the human mind loves to remain calm and engage in activities that demand less thinking.

For instance, you will find reading newspaper and normal bantering more easy than reading a research study or academic books. Is it the inherent fear that you will fail more on undertaking a productive activity than not?

Why are people so lazy in a manner that does not benefit them. Or Shaydaan, Satan is our enemy, steering us often to the wrong path where waste of time, and vices have no boundaries.

Are you saying we have lazy minds, in other words we're slow of dumb?

I demand an apology right now. Mad

No this is a general question and it is dealing with how the mind is induced or devoted to hedonism/pleasure.

I was just wondering as to why we avoid putting the mind into activity like making it think and rationalize. Because if people would have rationalized and saught the knowledge they need to survive and progress, the world would have been less hostile and avaricious.

We are inclined into meaningless topics more so. Or is that wrong?

Laughing There is a famous African adage that says, "Reason is for greeks and art is for Blacks"

Internet is one of the impediments of our progress. Do you agree? Sometimes, i leave my labtop home out of fear that i won't be able to control my irresistable tendency to surf online.

My friends call me Isma Lure, just because I am the laziest person on earth, sometimes I wish I had someone to turn the pages of the book/paper I am reading. On the other side, I am intelligent, witty and very very sharp, plus being Gibil Cad, of course handsome

Gibilcads are indeed bright but Most are too lazy to devote time to school. They have vocational skills which they keep and pass to their latter generation. But not many of them go to school.

SanDheer

Nah, not modest, I like to flaunt it, especially when I am with Lamo Goodle who think they are God's chosen children

Damala

We knew that even if we acquire the highest education in Somalia, we didn't had a chance of utilizing it, we knew the Lamo Goodle nepotism and we focused on tangible skills that you guys have no knowledge and we always satisfied your demands, we clothed you and ornaments on your wives' necks, hands and ears, so they would look beatiful for you
