LOL PHD.

Thanks simplicity.

avowedly,
I admire the likes of Chavez, Lula et al. But if I were to choose a system it wouldn't be capitalism or socialism, it would be Islam because it is the best.

Yes but obviously what I see as fun differs from yours. I don't find it fun making humour out of others suffering like you repeatedly do. Or making light hearted remark when the subject requires somber inputs.

With regard to being rebotic and intense... whats so intense about engaging in discusions ranging from Islamic jurispudence to ontology, flying to the high heavens about the existance of God only to swoop down and delve into science to be followed by dappling in social issues AND then kicking cans in Snet's inane topic alleys?

Rolling Eyes That is ALL you know-- you are right-- nothing is wrong with the ontology of dhuso, flying to the high heavens about the existance of Dhuso, only to swoop down and delve into science to be followed by dappling smell of Dhuso through various social issues AND then kicking cans in Snet's inane topic alleys of yet more dappling Dhusos?

Capitalism has failed almost all poor nations in the world and democracy is not practised well even by the "beacons".

Why SHOULD democracy be practiced WELL when it can't be with Islam, the perfect religion?

Capitalism DID not fail poor nations, poor nations failed at capatilism. Capitalism WORKS. It moved more ppl out of poverty and desolation than Communism, Nazism, Totalitarism, Islam or ANY other practiced system in 20th century. Until another system arrives that can match or provide what capitalism does, it will reign supreme irrespective of how many detracts there are.

Take the feared Avian Flue breakout. Who is likely to come up with cure and workable prevantative steps? Capitalism! Remember it is the multi-national drug companies that continue to produce and invent all the drugs that safe the world from curable diseases.

Not Islam!

"If Europe came to know of Aristotle and Plato through the Muslims, why isn’t this acknowledged world-wide?"

Viking, what made Islam in its hay days unique and tall over all other civilizations in the world in that era, is that they compiled all the civilizations in the world, translated into Arabic, learned from them and invented their own share. They were ambitious , knowledge-hungary and confident in attaining anything. Europeans copied us. It is said that the works of Islam after the Napolean conquered Egypt are still available in French libraries.

But today every element of civilization that used to be associated with Islam took the opposite. Arabic language was once the academic language of the world and every one in Europe once strove to master this language as English is today.

Our religion is knowledge and promotes the search for knowledge. The first revealed Sura to Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) embodies knowledge, esp Literacy and Science. I think we should go back to the Way Islam used to be. Wahabbism is our main problem. These people are intolerant, extremists to the extent of killing anyone suspected of the least deviations of their wrong way of Islam. They are the cause of our stagnation.

I am not going to comment on Capitalism or Free Trade. We haven't reached that level yet. There is a system to maintain Free Trade or Capitalism in the way of Islam and that sytem is a comprehensive security and legal system that respects Intellectual Freedom and Human Rights that are compatible with the system of the world.

Assalamu calaykum,

Some people need to go back to the classrooms and study the difference between "capitalism" and "democracy". The capitalistic economies of the west were established where there was no democracy. Today, many of the capitalist nations are governed by dictators and feudal leaders.

Protectionism is the trademark of democracies.

Socialist states Venazuela, the scandnavian countries and many western nations have combined some sort of capitalism (controlled) with social responsibility and allocation of resources.
