A Lasting solution for Somalia's anarchy

Postby Mureedi » Thu Mar 16, 2006 10:45 am

I personally know where the Somali problem lies and where the festering wound is literally rotting. It's the selfish nature of the Lama Goodle and the unhealthy competition for the supreme seat that caused the demise of so many. Every clan believes that they are the chosen ones to lead the country, when each and every clan has that notion instilled in their barbaric minds, no tangible solution is in sight. Now, since the major clans do not want to be led by a rival competing another major clan, why not give a chance to the minority who, no one harbors a grudge and no one is jealous of?

For a starter, I think the Speaker of the Parliament (Ashraaf) is one step to the right direction, why not give the Presidency and Prime Ministerial job to another minority clan? See, no one has came forward to claim the Speaker's position yet and no one has disputed his authority.

Minority clans are more sensible, less guilty, less aroogant, more civilized than the killer nomad who hasn't brought anything on the table for the last 16 years.

No they are all patrilineal.
Dir, Daarood and Hawiye have clan families with Habar not just Isaaq only.

Oh, ok. So, listen, you have been great help today, quite knowledgeable in the subject of Somalia/Somalis. But I have one more question for you, if you don't mind. So, does this mean that the Somalis generally have both matrilineal and patralinial lines of descent?

Not really its a patrilineal society, you are what your father is. You will have the occasional Bah/Habar but they are naanays(nick names) which just say the mothers tribe was.
