New Port in Somalia
The president of Somalia H. E. Darman and his delegation private visit to Jordan has concluded the meeting on the development of the New Somali port in the central region. The meeting was called by the president in Amman Jordan because of the convenience all the companies who are involved the development of the port have agreed to start the
planing and implementation of the building of the port. The president has agreed to that the port shall also start operating by export of livestocks in 40 days from the approval the plan.
The president of Somalia has traveled to the central region of Mudug and has designated the new port to be build there. This is to enhance the security by creating jobs in area which had chronic unemployment. The President traveled by car from Mogadishu to Port of Guun 510 Kl north of the capital. This was the third trip of the president to this region, and the first time for non Somali Mr.Konstantin Ashurov traveled in the country by road since the Siayad Barred Government.
