I'm just starting to get into the fantasy genre and I must say that I am fast becoming an enthusiast. If anyone's interested I suggest the 4 books (so far published) in the "Song of Ice and Fire" serie, A Game of Thrones , A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords and A Feast for Crows.
You will not be disappointed!

JESUS A PROPHET OF ISLAM BY Muhammad Ata ur Rahim

"This is one of the best books I've read on the history of christianity and the evolution of biblical literature. It refers extensively to scholarly research and is fairly unbiased with regard to the history of early christianity, contrary to the suggestion one might get by the title of the book. It could have been better titled as the History of Unitarian Christianity had it not been for the last chapter which quotes references to Jesus from the Islamic Literature. The Book is a must read for all Christians and Muslims alike to uncover the mysterious shroud surrounding the Life of Christ and the history of Christianity." Khalid M. Azam. U.S.A.

I agree with mr azam Very Happy . an excellent book wallah!

WAYYYY too many to list one. But I loved the Tom Sawyer/Huck Finn novels. Most of the Grishams, "Runaway Jury" being my fav. All S.E Hinton's books (Outsiders, Rumble Fish, etc) ALL Bukowski, Kerouac's "On The Road."

More later as I think of 'em.

As stated by another poster, "Frankenstein was amazing, as was "To Kill a Mockingbird." And perrsonally, I thought "Catcher" sucked.

More: Louis L'Amour Western novels. (GREAT reads when you're doin time. Very Happy ) Nabokov's "Lolita." Tennessee Williams' "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof," Albee's "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?"

I have been seeing those Chicken Soup books since Middle School, and i still see them today, because of my kid sister, and i never picked it up to read, yes i looked at it.

i dont know why but i never read them, but them wayside story books, man they were hilarious, i read them so many times. A school with 30 floors, with one room in each floor, and the wierdest kids in the world, with evil teachers, and a teacher with an ear on the head. man it was redicilous.

Gacalisa, If you want to be a voracious reader and learn things from your own cultural perspective, you have to read our best known author's books: Nuruddin Farah or Faarax J. Cawl.

All other books are nonsense except the texts which even themselves contain abounding errors.

As i see, you will be a victim of "White Supremacy" . This is called Post-colonial Literature. Always avoid European literature, because they are all biased and inundated with falsifications. Their novels are tasteless and without lustre. There are few of them with amazing and prolific writing talent but majority of them are tasteless.
