That's pretty good too. I read it three times and never get tired of it. The longest love story ever written...

Has anyone read John Milton's Paradise Lost? And if so, could they tell tell me what they thought about it. I began reading it, but stopped after the second chapter because I couldn't bear all the religious talk contained in it. It felt rather a lot like reading a transcript of a Sunday church sermon.

It's often reffered to as a good poem, but I just couldn't stand the religious references. But then again I suppose the whole poem is religious in its content so I really don't have any grounds for complaints.

All the same, do let me know what you thought if you have read it.

i didnt read it yet, but i am gonna read it this quarter.

you couldnt bare it because the whole book is based on religion. Actually its a war between God and Satan. Satan with his jinns and soldiers, and God with his people and soldeirs. Satan wants to defy God, and rule the world, and attempts to win the war. its an actual war, with two groups and battles.

it kind of brings to life what satan wants to do.
