BELEDWEYNE AND GALGADUUD.

Postby DamallaXagare » Sun Apr 02, 2006 2:46 am

I was reading the memoir of Professor Mohamoud Said Gees. it is a remarkable memoir and i learned a lot from it. We need such persons who can pass their experiences and knowledge to us. It is written in Somali and you will find this long memoir extremely educational and interesting to keep you at the edges of your seat with your eyes fixed onto the monitor. I, therefore, took this quote as it seems indicative, of some people of ours in that part of the country, of their known volatile disposition of conduct and attitude. Most Somalis, if you enquire them of Galgaduud and Mudug and Hiiraan, their answer is the theme on the variations of one popularly held perception about which they describe the above-mentioned regions as war-like people, but the Professor emphasizes the cause of such as the lack of proper care and growth by their parents who neglect them and the harsh environment they live, respectively.

There are a number of other factors that display tellingly the perception of their volatility. Their ignorance $ the harsh environment entail an understanding which translates itself into the present day situation. Most warlords came from that region. Religous pundits are hardly available in the region except other regions across the border from which such learned shiekhs are imported and hired locally to teach the children the Qur'an.

The title of the memoir was distorted by Cawaale who belongs to Isaaq. The real title is "Sanadihii Cadhada " "The Years of Outcries" . The author tells us of the cause of the hostility of the people of Hargeisa and Burco and Central regions of Hawiye.

You don't need to know the words if they happen to be new. Just follow the pattern of the story methodically and the meaning comes with the follow of the story. It is simalar to reading an English memoir.

and there are more religious sheikh in say badhan then beledweyn? I don't get your rationale.Where are these statistics coming from? Is it hearsay? Possibly clan ineundo? The person who wrote that article doesn't realize that the environment in beledweyn is alot better then everything north of it. I am not speaking on tribal terms but galkacyo on up don't even have 1/10th of the farmland that hiiraan does. To say the environment is bad is clan inferiority displayed by you and the particular reer waqooyi guy who wrote these memoirs.

NOPE, Marexan live from Abudwaq all the way to beled xawo, If you mean the small village of yamarguley in Danot then their statistically insignificant and cannot be counted over thier, btw their entire history stretches back into the early 90's.

I didn't turn it into a qabiil topic. What I did was show that this topic is clearly biased and degrading to people of central somalia.

Laughing Well the author didn't say nothing bad about Beledweyne except telling the way he saw it. Were your parents from East?
