That is what I thought before going to Somalia 2 years ago. I found out that the idea of the Somali civil-war based on tribal grounds to be a "complicated" myth, and not as black and white that we led to believe it in the diaspora to be ever worried along those lines.

A cell phone was robbed from a guy then he picked a fight with a totally different man who was subscribed to the robber's clan. Then it was clan fight all over sudden and at least 7 ppl lost their lives.

To rephrase your quesion: What the heck would u do in such a situation? I'd fight.
