who uses TORRENT for downloads.. help me out!!

I have been trying to download some stuff at Torrent but as download it and open, it doesnot play with mediaplayer... torrent advised me to download DivXplayer,.. I downloaded it.. it still doesnot play.. does anyone know what the problem is?... can you guyz help me out here!!!

Homer it sounds like ur problem is codec one. Unless the file is corrupted. figure out what format the file is and make sure u download all of it.
what torrent downloader r u using

Gatsy.. what do u mean Torrentdownloader?.... do I have to have torrentdownloader? haha... I just went to the website, saw the movie I like, click'd on it.. and it says download.... as you download to your computer.. you go the file and open to play.. but nothing works!!!.. the funny thing is that, the download takes less than 10 seconds!!.. that was strange... is it supposed to be like that?

what size is it in KB's? And if you got it from their site, the issue is prolly a codec one.

Damn dude. what u have there is not a file. u need to download and install applications like Bittorent or bitlord or even Azureus. then double click on that little file u got now. Then ur download will start with whatever program u installed.

homer, I would say forget about bittorrent stuff unless u r into computers. Your computer and your Internet conenction will be shared by many strangers if u run those applications.

I would say, forget it unless the media file is standard and can be watched with a browser or media players like real/windows.

One more thing, use a good firewall if u donwload stuff from the net. At least it will tell u which application wants to connect tot the net and where it is going. One free one is zone alarm from zonelabs.com

Download VLC player or BS player and you will be able to play any video with any format.
