The insults are given as they are thrown. I'm reading alot of negative slurs as it relates to African-Americans on this site. It's strange because these are some of the same people who use the same vernacular, listen to hip/hop, love Beyonce, TI, but find it cute to insult us at the same time. It goes both ways. I also reprimand African-Americans saying untrue things about other blacks. What is it, do you all love whites and hate blacks because I have yet to read a topic asking " Do you get hit on by white girls." I have yet to read a negative article about whites on this site when they are some of the biggest and most vocal advocates against Somali immigrants in their neighborhoods. Do you remember Maine ?

Well, I have no good answer to that question. Truth be told, alot of older African-Americans hate the use of the word no matter who's saying it. My parents did not allow us to use the word, so I guess it's all in your upbringing. So you're light-skinned ? Now, I never knew there were light-skinned Somalis---so I stand corrected. I've seen light brown-skinned Somalis but none my color.
