Rebel,
What the bloody heck did I say about your religion to get all worked up in your thread about me? Does merely stating my own belief constitute an insult to you? If so, then certainly it is you who has a problem with tolerance of others. Perhaps, you should understand what I wrote before you feel all offended, i said, " it certainly reveals the making of religious morals through pick and choose scenarios where there is complete lack of appreciation for the implications of precedent moral values in the validity of any formation of a credible system of belief………the big bang theory is one possibility among many different from the creation or intelligent design guessâ€Â....I did not attack theists, or show any intolerance to those who live by the books of monotheism, I merely stated that contradiction can take away credibility from any system of belief or reason.
[Quote Rebel@â€Ââ€ÂIt isn't enough for the atheist crowd to be content in their belief that there is not a God. It seems necessary to attempt to completely destroy the entire belief systems of others in an effort to sustain their own unbelief! Now all of you little atheists have a choice to make....are you going to hold tight to your belief system and be tolerant of others ....or are you going to prove how vapid your own belief system is by bashing the faiths of others? Well...which is it ?..Quote]
Atheism or the disbelief in God has risen from religion itself; it has been for the most part a disparity or dissatisfaction with key concepts in theology. Theology demands credibility and validation from its believers. You as believers in religion claim credibility, and like any theory or concepts that claims credibility must be subjected to reason and rational. Apparent contradiction in any concept you claim will make us non-believers wonder, Is this credible? And because we demand credibility from you, it means we respect your beliefs. You said†It is okay with Atheist folks here if you worship a statue, because no one is claiming the statue is alive†It is not okay if you worship a statue, NO thinking person with reason and rational can justify worshipping a statue, Idol Worship in the form of statues and stones has no credibility as understandable concept of rationality. If you tell me you worship a stone, or another human being, than I shall not bother addressing you because there is no rational in worshipping an innate object in my opinion and thus you forfeit any credibility that your concept can be subject to reasonable thinking and analysis.
The Rebel, if you have a personal problem with me or my belief that is fine, I can take that. But let us be objective and not intolerant in our discussions where it is not necessary. For example, Xplosive feels comfortable telling nonbelievers that we are “Deaf, dumb and blind†relative to his belief in God. He is absolutely positive we are all going to burn in hell without mercy. Now, that is his belief, so I am not going get all upset and call out intolerance or insult his credibility personally. Surely, this is what it means to have a normal and mature discussion on Somalinet. personally, I have refrained from criticizing Islam, and I have kept my promise for the most part when I come on somalinet.
