It's sad to read what's happening to African players in Europe.
This kind of things will never happen in America. The Feds would've shut them down and those football clubs owners could've gone bankrupt from lawsuits.

The issue that is not being addressed here is that words are justification for violence. I am sympathetic with Zidane and I like him as a player. But he should be charged like we saw with the Brashear case. It was a clear case of assault.

violence is justified if someone calls my mother what that italian fukk said about zidane's mom. i would've took it a step further and broke that gypsy's jaw.

Xoogsade
You and I both might have sympathy for his reaction, but it's not justified. And we don't know what the Italian said. Bottom line is he should be prosecuted. It's assault and what is he teaching kids? Someone says something you don't like assault him?

Just heard on CNN that Zidane apologized, especially for the bad example to the kids. Looks like your mother insult was on track. He seems to have anger management problems, but also has some class.

Other sources say that the italian was holding Zidane's shirt, and Zidane said, ironically, to him: If you want my shirt so much, just wait for the end of the match and I'll give it to you. The italian guy replied: I prefer your wife's shirt, I'll take it off of her instead... And Zidane got angry.
