You are not being intellectually honest here. The Arabs have not wanted to see a Palestinian state for the first 50 years of the impasse. It was only after being defeated multiple times that they have finally woken up.

Even now, the Palestinians reject the two state solution. All of their ideas and proposals revolve around a strategy to destroy the state of Israel, either through violence or through demographics. And the majority of Muslims support this approach. You know that. So let's not pretend that Israel is the only state demonstrating intransigience here. That's not true.

Again, no one addresses the core issue. What is the Arab or Palestinian peace proposal? What is it? I have yet to hear anyone tell me where I can find it. Hamas' peace proposal is that Israel should be destroyed, then there will be peace. Is there a real deal out there somewhere? Can someone articulate it?

Sadly, there are no Hamas spokesperson here but common sense dictates to ask, what did the Palestinian Authority under the P.L.O achieve? Nothing. I think Hamas is flexible but they dont want to be caught up in that Israeli trap. Furthermore, the Israeli P.M Olmert is a man on a mission, and has an agenda of his own, unilaterally creating his own borders and proving to the Israeli's that he is as capable as the generals who preceeded him. The Two state solution that he offers is exactly like the previous South African Apartheid Regime's offer of isolated homelands, enclaves and not a State.

This is classic Muslim obfuscation. The question is what is the Palestinian proposal and the answer is "Israel is bad". Then you say "What route do the Arab governments see as a way forward" and the answer is "Israel is bad". It's always the same thing.

This is a simple question: WHAT IS THE PALESTINIAN PROPOSAL?

Of course the answer is, there is none. Because they don't want peace. They want victory. They power. All this violence goes on because they want it to. We can argue about what Israel wants too. That's fine. But regardless of what the true Israeli position is, it doesn't change the fact that the Arabs in general, and the Palestinians in particular, don't have a peace proposal on the table.

If thats the case not only will this brutal conflict end with a blast which could change the course of history. It seems to me Isreal is in no position to make any demands. Now that Iran has obtained Nuclear disposal. and so will Syria soon enough.
