Saluting King Faisal, the Last Saudi with Guts

Postby AbdiWahab252 » Fri Jul 21, 2006 8:33 am

You got to admire the late King Faisal. In the heat of the Arab Israeli war, he did what no other leader since him dared do: cut the oil supplies to the supports of the Israelis.

Imagine if the Gulf Arabs, and Moslem nations did the same to sympathize with their Lebanese brethern.

That would take guts which is a rare commodity among the Arabs

actually it was the late shiekh Zayed of the UAE who did this.
He came up with the idea, and while the saudis and Kuwaities were debating and arguing about it, he Unilaterally did it.

This shamed Faisal into action and faisal then claimed it was his idea
afterall.

King Faisal was the most religious of all the Saudi kings. If the current Saudi kings were not seculars, they would have done the same.

Some saudi sheekhs are ordering fatwas against Hizbolah. In other words; the saudi gov aren't going to side with the shias, it's more likely that they will side with any power but the shias..which they have.
