Hadith no. 21257 in Musnad Ibn Hanbal mentions that there were 124,000 of Prophets in total throughout history, and the Qur'an says that Allah has sent a prophet to every group of people throughout time. But not all of them were messengers the way Muhammad (SAW), Issa, Musa were, (SAW). Some were sent for different reasons, but all with the same message: Worship One God.

But only one counts anymore. Go figure.

And he send all these Prophets when the planet is at its population low. When it's population reached a high, he doesn't send one. Smooth.

Although I'm not sure, some people say that the ancient teachings like Confuscianism are originally the teachings perhaps of one of those prophets, but over time it got so distorted that today it doesn't resemble monotheism at all, just serene reflections on life.

"population is reached high" well the world is FULL of SATAN now.
Allah has send u clear message and has choose for you a religion, If mankind wants to follow a satan he is not stopping it! Why would he send one again and again now, while Satan is not fond of Prophets.
Its too much satan its not worth sending a prophet again and again.

I think it would have been a very good solution if every nation was sent to their own prophet!!!.. what do you think of that!!.. each and every country would get their messenger.. a representative of Allah- an ambassador

Its useless for Satan to be send a prophet,as the satan rejected the prophets before why send it again?, satan eyes and ears are closed for the truth, hell is where satan will end up.

Actually, I did not say Satan existed. I said "If...." And no, I don't really subscribe to heaven and hell. So no, wrong.

He wouldn't be sending the Prophets to convince Satan, you dimwit. He would be sending them to counter his influence. Jesus Christ.

caana this is what i was talking about, evry time the ppl forgot their religion, and went grazy, ore were beeing oppressed, did god send prophets and messengers to oure ppl, it could me maybe true that prophet muhammed is the last prophet, you see some were sent for different reason, but all with the same message: worhip god, but if you today look to the world, and how world leaders are thinking that they are half god, the way they oppresse religions, the way we dont even know whats good ore bad, dont you think that we need a new messenger, cuss really theire are some ppl who are asking q's like, why wont god help us, didnt god promised us that we will be victory, how came today were beeing oppressed by jews, and things like that, that kind of q's did ppl asked them selfs, i mean during the prophets time, but in that time did god sended a messenger with clear message, and ofcourse can god send a new messenger, i believe that god is with us, god said if you want to see me, than just see parts of what i created, its just like that, their are some wadaads, ore cult leaders who can see things, like the prophets could, who knows that they could be one of them, remember mehdi

I donÂ’t think it really matters to a Muslim to contemplate whether Nostradamus or Confucius were really prophets. The Quran has mentioned all the four messengers and gives enough parables for the people to learn from.

MADMAC, God will only judge people on the knowledge He has given them. Back then there was no mass communication and good written material so the message did not reach the masses. We are also closer to the day of judgement and Mohamed (pbuh) was the last prophet and messenger. You canÂ’t argue the message of Islam hasnÂ’t reached most people and the Quran is not out there for everyone to read. It is the choice of the individual to follow the faith and listen to the word of God.
