This is essentially policing, is it not ?? Is this the role America wants to play in Iraq ?? Is it feasible? And if so, for how long??

As for a full blown civil war, I believe it's inevitable. When America leaves, they'll resume hostilities. The ol "when the cat's away..." thing.

I disagree. Not that you or I get a vote on this anyway.

I believe it will take about two more years to get the required Iraqi governmental and security structures in place before we can withdraw.
