Costa... More is to come.
These fockers couldn't stay out of GALMUDUG State. They were warned but kept on pushing. They were chased out of town by townspeople.

I thought only abgaals were christians, thanks for telling us about habar gidir gaalos.
Why don't they make a new tribe for all the somali speaking gaalos and throw in the odd ones like afdhere; he could be a good spokesman you know. He is pretty clever at manipulating white people never mind bantus like us

"Forces loyal to General AbdiQeybdiid captured the town of Bandiirley, 60 kms south of Galkacyo. The ICU which had been occupying the town fled and accused the General of using forces from Ethiopia and Puntland in the attack."
I doubt there were any Ethiopians or Puntlanders involved. Pushing out ICU 10 technicals would be a pushover for Qeybdiid considering how he held off the ICU for nearly 3 days in Xamar where over 200 technicals were used by the ICU.

Lol
The war hasnÂ’t started yet man, you canÂ’t even call that a battle. That was never a strategic town and will never be a strategic battle ground. The Islamic courts had no plans to go to Gaalkacyo in the first place and was just something that developed pretty fast. Right now they are only in that region to warn off the Ethiopian troops and the stupid warlord. They donÂ’t have strong presence there in terms of fighters and leaders. They wonÂ’t preoccupy themselves with stupid locations like that when they have bigger issues to deal with.
lol @ 200 technicals.................One thing is for sure, there is no way he is setting foot in Xamar cadde.

Qeybdid is Sa'ad and Aweys and Indacadhe are Ayr. How much loyatly can Awale command in your opinion? And where are the Abgal likely to come out of all this. With Musa Sudi out of the picture right now, the last I heard was that Omar Finish had signed on with the courts. If the Sons of Hirab are more or less joined on this one, (and of course I have not mentioned the Harti Abgal or the Suleiman of the Haber Gedir, players in their own right), can Qeybdid break that phalanx? Or was this Islamic Courts unity an illusion? Your take?

Eyes... The UIC sent Cagoweyne of the Furqaan courts to disrupt the Galmudug government elections. The goal was to move on to Galkacyo and to stir up a conflict with Puntland.
However, God Bless his heart, the Lion of Sacad, AbdiQeybdiid was there to stop them. The Cayr UIC have failed them and should now focus on whats brewing in Kismayo.
Eyes, why is the UIC arresting all those who call for Makhmaads in the Cayr occupied lands in Shabelle Hoose ? Arresting the natives who simply want the same freedoms as their friends in Xamar speaks volumes about the hypocritical nature of the UIC (Sharia only for NonCayrs)

Abdi, Sh/Hoose has an administration just like Somaliland, Puntland etc. The Sh/Hoose administration and people have supported the Islamic courts and would not oppose to having Islamic courts. There is no point in making Islamic courts in sh/hoose an issue when it is just a minor detail which is being handled in talks just like it is being done in other parts of the country. There would never have been any need to go to Galkacyo if there wasnÂ’t a warlord organising an attack against the courts just as there would not have been any need to go to Jowhar or balcad if there werenÂ’t those warlords planning and recruiting for attacks.
You can go on and on about qabiil nonsense all you want but there are many sacad supporters of the Islamic courts and sacad ICU fighters will take part if that warlord attacks them. It is the strategy of the ICU to use fighters from the same qabiil as the warlord against the warlord just like they did in balcad, jowhar, hiiraan and galgaduud. At the end of the day it is brothers killing brothers which is deeply unfortunate which is also why the courts avoid wars at every opportunity and wait until they are attacked and have to defend themselves. Qeerdiid is not a hero and is not someone you should be supporting.
Again, Kismayo and Galkacyo are all meant to distract the ICU and they are not falling for it. The fighters in Kismayo have always done well in defending themselves and they will do the same now.

So you think the Courts will sit back, hold the gains they've got, and try to win through the power of persuasion? Do you see them gaining momentum now that way? It seems to me that, unless the current leaders of the courts are willing to cede leadership to Darood and Rahanweye leaders that that tactic is bound to fail. There is no way the Darood are going to allow themselves to be ruled by any Hawiye, his religious qualifications notwithstanding.

War MadMac, stop acting like an expert in qabiil rubbish. The fact is most Somalis irrespective of their clan support what the ICU did and have done so far. The point is not sitting or fighting. The point is about the future of that country. The courts have so far waited for an open discussion with the government as much as they detest the basis it was founded on. If they wanted they could have established a government of their own which they havenÂ’t done because they are thinking about what is best for the country and donÂ’t want to rush into anything. There is no darood vs hawiye issue that IÂ’m aware of right now. Foreigners have a way of stirring up conflicts but weÂ’ll see what happens.

Qeybdid is Sa'ad and Aweys and Indacadhe are Ayr. How much loyatly can Awale command in your opinion? And where are the Abgal likely to come out of all this. Awale commands a significant cadre of loyalty among the Sa'ad. His fight in Xamar was supported by a majority of Sa'ad there but those who were pro-ICU have been drastically reduced especially after the ICU headed towards Galkacyo. Awale can now point out that this war indeed is a war against the Sa'ad after the attack on Galkacyo and not one against himself. Even the most die hard ICUer cousin of mine has admitted that the ICu want to cripple the Sa'ad power in general. He is now antiICU solely based on the venture into Sa'ad land in Central Somalia.
Finish is now in Baydhaba. His Abgaal powerbase was eroded along with that of Muse, Bashir Raage and Maxamed Dheere. They failed to consolidate their forces for a joint attack against the pawns of Sheik Sharif and the Cadaani, two ICU members. Overall, the Abgaal are now seeing the ICU revolution for what it is a power grab by the Cayr especially when the ICU resists the formation of Courts in the Lower Shabelle and the murderous rampage and rapes in the Abgaal interior cities of Cel Dheer and Jowhar commited by the Cayr in the ICU forces.
The Suleiman support the ICU as long as it at odds with the Sa'ad. They have yet to recover from the defeats inflicted by the Sa'ad in Mudug and Galgaduud. They hope the ICU will defeat the Sa'ad and allow them to reoccupy Sa'ad lands.
The ICU Unity is an illusion based on using pawns from other qabiils. This game has been played by all factions from Aideed's Government which included notable SNM Veteran and Ex-Somaliland President, AbdiRahman Tuur to Abdullahi Yusuf's government. However, what the ICU have done is the most dangerous: ADDED in ISLAM and JIHAD. This hijacking of Sharia law when it is actually Cayr designs on power is a disturbing development.
EYES/// the ICU uses a few pawns from other qabiils but the bulk of its fighters don't come from that qabiil. In the attack on Qeybdid, the majority of the fighters were CAyr & Suleiman with additional reinforcements from Abgaal, Murusade, Issaq, Oromo and Darood fanatics.

eyes-only,
Does Indhacade have a parliament for the people he claims to occupy?
Please you walaweynis shyt on everything including the quran, but just leave our Somaliland out of your mouths. You think you can be whatever you want by just opening your mouths without doing the hardwork on the ground.

Abdi, keep thinking that. I know there were sacad fighters and if it makes you feel better to think the warlord and his moroyaan will be fighting to kill mainly ceyr and saleeban then all IÂ’ll say is whatever makes you feel better.
