Haven't read the article..But was told that 2 men are arrested for the killing of the nun and the Islamic courts suspect the killers are anti ICU and they did this to make the Islamic court look like terrorists in the eyes of the west....

What shocks me is the fact that some Islamist sympathisers are actually shocked by it! You go into medieval thought processes you guarantee people to behave in a medieval way.

In fact there are numerous precedents of murdering elderly non-Somalis in Mogadishu and elswehere in Somalia and throughout somali History. The famous `Ha noolato' uprising was no more than a murder-fest of mainly elderly mainly weak Italian long-term residents of mogadishu. To my knowledge around 50 were murdered to death usually by hacking. The fact that even the modern Somali State of the 70s depicted this criminal, barbaric murder-fest as some kind of national uprising says a lot about somali mentality. And of course another Italian Nun was killed in Borama and an elderly couple in sheikh on the late 90s.

Needless to say elderly Somalis are killed everyday(although perhaps not always deliberately) What shocks us about this killing is the fact that the elderly woman did not have to be there - she chose to.

But hey little ol woman, you died with dignity. May your Gods be kind to you. If they are not fock them.

There is something positive about this denial of yours which I find fascinating. In fact the ludicrous denials of 911 by Muslims has a very positive side to it which the Westerners have ignored: Human beings, no matter how nasty, do not like the idea of committing gross nastiness against fellow human beings.

That is why some of the most vicious Jihadists deny that Muslims could do 911 and say instead it must have been the work of others.

Alas it is also the same reason you now say it were the Baidoa govt's death squads that killed the 70 year old Italian Nun.
