George Galloway is a progressive former labour Member of the British Parliament. He opposed the Iraq war and condemned Tony "the poodle' Blair for taking Britain into the war. As a result, he was expelled from the labour party. He formed his own party and was returned to parliament by the voters of Bethnal Green, with a massive from Majority.
Hitchens is a smart and articulate writer and commentator who was formerly liberal and anti conservative, but lately has joined the neo-conservative bandwagon. Not surprising, in that the neoconservatives are, like Hitchen, former Trotskyist who abandoned the democratic party.
