DawladSade

If you go to Burco you will see a lot of homeless crazy people who are extremely funny and full of outrageous stories. Perhaps Xplaya is western version of that. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Xplaya was referring to Maxamed Siyaad, but it is interesting to note that Siyaad Barre himself was martyred in the anti Italian struggles of Mudug when the fascist dictator Benito Mussolini decided to overthrow the Majeerteen Sultanates.

Many Somalis fought against Italian expansion during that time(1925) including Mareexaan and Hawiye. Siyaad Barre lost his life during those struggles and eventually the Majeerteen sultanates were defeated, mostly after the Italians bribed the Hawiye to side with them.

Maxamed Siyaad Barre was also a hero of Somalia. Since last he led Somalia, the country has descended into anarchy. One side taken over by Taliban Terrorists and the other by Isaaq who style themselves the Children of Queen Elizabeth. Laughing Laughing

"Haddaan oday Wargaafaa noqdiyo aniga oo wiila
Mar haddaanan waayeyn, ma jiro nimaan ka waabshaaye
Inaan wiido geel bixiyo, waa waajib ii dhacaye

Walbahaari maayoo Rabbaa ii wakiila ahe
Haddii aanan wax bixinayn, qalbigu iima waasaco e
Diintaan wareego uga dhigi, waxadda xoolaade "

Cilmiile

Chitiest gabay I ever read. Makes no sense and far more unforgivably it has no balance.

Was the old glutton on something?

Galool,

there is one broken metre due to my typing

Haddii aan wax bixinayn qalbigu iima waasaco e

Gallool

the meaning of the poem is clear. But not entirely accessible to anyone who has not yet mastered the Somali language.

The third line should come second, but the sayid went with that construction because of its elegance.

The poem is about the Sayid's expression of generosity towards those who would embrace the holy cause

that is your homework for the night

Dhulbahante are truly nationalists, very brave, civil, and hard working people. They are well-cultured unlike the other Somalis. They have a long history to be reckoned with, a history that involves great battles, poetic literature, freedom fighting land marks like Taleeh and Jiidali. I probably think the Harti in the old days were natural-born freedom fighters since Ahmed Gurey. Imagine If we couldn't fight for that freedom, what would the size of our population be today? Almost half a million people in that 20 year struggle perished in that war when Iidoor-cum Hawiye were munching and roaming on top of the mountains. Still, they could not be defeated until the common wealth countries bombarded their strongholds. I believe the Harti have sacrified more men and money than any other clan for the dignity and birth of our nation and they continue to do still in attempt to reverse the savagery of the Hawiye who have dragged our good nation mercillesly on the streets.

I don't lie about History. I tell the way it is. Look @ my last post. Am I Dhulbahante?

Why is that every Ogaden or Weyteen who speaks good of other clans be labeled to be such? I am NOT QabiilistE and I don't reserve every good quality for my own clan.
