Sxb how about if i tell i was there..No, but fiiri no one is denying dat their (Dhulbahante) were his soldier and reer abtiyaashiis...but i was mentioning despite their loyalty to him he saw them just as soldiers and nothing else. I dont know but their is a Gabay in which he talks about all the Somali qabiilyasha and somebody asked him about Dhulbahante and Sayidka responds by saying dat "DAD BAAN KA HADLEENAY". So sxb maybe u need to go back to your unbaised elders and ask about this.

Dhulbahaante always have a good soldeir (follower) and to this day they are (Guarding Pu$$yland from Isaaqs).

Darwiish Army was in norhthern Mudug. It is Cumar Maxamuud land but Darwiishes could go anywhere in Somalia and settle as long as there was no European or Organized local goverment stopping them, e.g. Boqor Cismaan or Suldaan Cali Yuusuf.

the biggest cumar Maxamuud contingent in the Darwiish movement were the Reer Khalaf, Abshir dhoore family. But like Cali Dhuux and many other Darwiishes, large numbers of them deserted the movement after the Sayid was condemned by his Sudanese mentor Maxamed Saalix.

All the ppl who are against the Sayid are Isaaqs trying to diminish him and belittle him JUST.. into some sort of a poet..I wonder why??? Laughing

Well Cali Dhuux was Gabyaa, Careys Ciise was Gabyaa, Yamyam was one...But the Sayid was different..be it in Gabay and be it in Halgan (fighting the colonizers).

The Sayid was a great man, but some of his soldiers were alot like modern day mooryaans.. I'm not taking jabs at any qabiil in particular since some of those were from my clan. But I know for sure that they were responsible for the killing of many women and children. When they used to report back to him what they had done he would just say "Its between your and your God" instead of doing something about it. Thats the only point where i dislike the Sayyid.

But if u focus on that bigger picture he was definately one of the greatest Somali men to ever have lived.

They did some ill shit in Boosaaso and Sanaag too. I have some truly f'ed up stories to tell about them.. most of those stories I got from my grandparents.

But I dont think he can be held accountable for all of their actions.

All I know is that he MURDERED more Dhulos than so-called cadaw. I also know that he was no where to be found in the Somali history books before Siyad Barre came to power. Darawwish was known SHIFTO among Somalis in that region. Everything they eat were stolen from innocent Somalis than he used to write a poem about it to glamorizes the eventÂ….how stupid is that?

Why are you posting threads like this, esp , after my last censure of you. I gather you are interested in the Somali history , yet you are biased about it.


Similar to Sayid's struggle was Ahmed Gran (1543) or Axmed Gurey. Have you started researching it too? I will recommend you a book if you want.

Ps. The history of Sayid does not resemble in any form the UIC. I find your correlation of the two insulting. One was a struggle against the external factors, whereas the UIC one is one against the internal dynamics of warlordism. It was a success, but its far-fetched, wild ambitions might to be its undoing.
