PLEASE DONATE!!!!

Postby eyes-only » Fri Dec 01, 2006 5:13 pm

Donate whatever you can to Muslim Aid for the Somali Flood Appeal. The money is needed desperately to help the people affected by the floods. Muslim Aid has been working to deliver medical supplies and other immediate relief to Somalis devastated by the floods.

So please donate as much as you can to help the relief effort.

If you have Islam Channel on SKY digital channel 813 – You’ll find all the details on your screen. If you have ArabSat, I think it's on BSkyB can't remeber the number but it's IslamTV.

If you donÂ’t have Islam Channel, you can still donate and call the donation HOTLINE and say you want to donate to the Somali Appeal on:

+44 0207 377 4200

If you want to make a LIVE CALL to let people know who you are and what you donated or are going to donate please call......

+44 0207 580 3354 (it will encourage others to donate).

Please help your Somali brothers and sisters in their hour of need. Everything penny countsÂ…

Call your aunts, uncles, cousins and anyone else you know who can donate whatever the amount.

ACT NOW and SAVE A LIFE!

lookz, when you donate you should never expect anything in return. DonÂ’t be selfish and think about the poor helpless people suffering tonight as you enjoy the warmth of your house. This life is a test, make good use of what you have and help your Somali brothers and sisters.

Eyes,

Insha Allah, I posted an article about the floods wednesday night, urging people to donate, I was told that maxkamadaha have raised close to $500,000 so far, the owner of Barakat alone put up $30,000.

Many imaams have left the US & Europe and have held fundraising events in Somalia including my former imaam, Sh. Maxamad Idriis, former imaam of Masjid Assunah in Atlanta, Georgia & then masjid Ibn Taymiyyah of Columbus, Ohio.

muslim-man, wallahi the Somalis in Muqdisho are doing everything they can to help their brothers and sisters in the affected regions. Others should do more and follow their example.

I was really upset by a caller that called one of the shows earlier today. He wasnÂ’t Somali, but he implied that Somalis were basically cursed and everything happening to them is somehow their fault and that they should expect worse for being tribalist and divided. He based all this on what he witnessed of Somali divisions in Liverpool. SHame on Somalis in Liverpool.

We need to unite and show concern for the poor and needy people that are affected by this disaster. We have to show our humanity. If a nine year old can donate his £10 pocket money, surely the likes of lucky and lookz and even sakhraan can donate.

Eyes,

Sadly, some people are still so hung up on qabiil, I am constantly accused of being hawiye blah, blah, blah, if it was because of qabiill, the UIC would have been the last people I support.
