But think about this before you even begin to say that heterosexual sex is considered a mental illness.

An illness is a physical deviation from what is normal operation of the body or mind. In any reasonably sized sample of randomly selected people under non-epidemic conditions, there will be more healthy people than normal people.

Nobody would choose to be a homosexual. It is not a mental health disease, as this woman implies. Homosexuality is found prevelently in nature. I am not going to assert it is "normal", but I do assert that what two consenting adults choose to do with each other sexually is their buisiness. Not mine, not anyone elses. Fortunately I live in a free country, where people have the freedom to do as they wish. If you want to live in a fascist country, then move there.

Now, there are health risks associated with a whole host of behavior. And health is always the reason articulated by people who don't approve of the behavior for eliminating it. Boxing, Car Racing, Paintball, Alcohol, smoking....I have heard the health reason used for a whole host of arguments to ban these activities and many more. And it always comes down to the same thing. The people who want to ban these things couldn't give a hoot about the health of the participants. They just don't like the activity itself and think it should be banned. They are major league busybodies who would not be happy if they weren't in someone elses buisiness.

Medical consquences??? What medical consequences?? I dont see any medical consquency stated above or if hse means the dieseases--i dont see them limited only to homosexual sex. All the diseases mentioned inflict both heteros & homos.(The homoes definitely having more risks & yes-- die or having short life span due to their hopelessness. That I agree with her--Gays die earlier than straights simply because gays are made of men--& men usually as we all know are horn dogs.)



Personally i think the only way to approach homosexuality is understanding it-delving into Psychological psyche.(And Biology as well no doubt). I am inclided to semi-agree with Freud Sigmund when he said--there is a hault of growth in the human developmental stage--where the homosexual does not develop into the Hetero stage.I said semi- agree with this theory because its not entirely true.(by the hault of growth if he means--inadeaquecies in homosexual i agree)

I also have my owm theory--that--in every homosexual --there is an imbalance of hormones respective to the sex of the individual. The female has excessive Testosterones hormones, while the male has more astrogen hormones in their system. These hormones are basically the blue print of our sexuality & more importantly --our sexual roles.Religious Zealots like this Kathleen tend to think on a generic, uninformed basis--mainly based on religious point of view.(Such as Abstaining, praying etc etc ).Which i dont say it doesnt work--but ONLY as far as abstaining & managing active homosexual behavior. Any Faith--especially Islam Faith will give you a major boost to combat this lifestyle successesfully--but remember--it will not cure homosexuality.There is nothing like 'curing' as far homosexuality is concerned. Once a homosexual always a homosexual. (So for all you in denial--pray all u want--lol---u will always be attracted to u know what loool).


Basically my point is Homosexuality is a biological error--it happens when one in the womb.Just like a product goes through a factory --where you will have succesesful working product & others broken in the proceses of --manufacturing--the same goes with gays.Another revolutionary opinion i have is--Homosexuality exists solely to prevent population. (Which is a very good thing if you ask me--too many people as it is)

I'm not playing devil's advocate since I'm not defending a position I personally disagree with. I don't consider homosexuality to be a disease any more than I consider left-handedness to be a disease.

Of course I don't think heterosexual sex is deviant. I was just going by the author's logic. The author is suggesting that since some homosexuals risk their lives by engaging in unsafe sex, homosexuality is a disease. The breathtakingly stupidity of that position is what prompted me to point out the flaw in her thinking. As Basra pointed out, the author is focusing on male homosexuality, but we all know that men are indeed prone to unnecessary risks and thrill-seeking (and yes, possibly horn-dog behavior ). Their sexuality has little to do with it.

And don't be silly, lesbians make up considerably more than 0.0000000000000000000000000001 of the world's population

Not that any of this is surprising. Homosexuals have been despised seemingly forever. Why would anyone CHOOSE to be part of a despised group. Makes no sense.

Furthermore, for those of us that are not homosexual, the idea itself is revolting. I mean, can you imagine yourself waking up one day and saying "You know, today I think I am going to blow a man, see what it's like"???? It's repulsive.

The reason that religiously oriented people have such a hard time with the idea that homosxuality is not a choice is simple. If it's not a choice, then how can edict from God prohibit it? If God made homosexuals the way they are, then how can their behavior be such a great sin? It puts their faith into doubt - which they can not have. You see Cawar, the painful truth is, that people of the book are, by definition, closed minded. To open their minds would mean they have to entertain the possibilities that their faiths are not right on some issues - and for them that is unacceptable. Therefore, no amount of reasoning, no amount of scientific evidence, nothing is going to allow the challenging of their world view.
