KOMBO TREACHERY

Postby Galol » Thu Dec 28, 2006 8:38 pm

Kombos are whooping and cheering at the killing and humiliation of Somalis, albeit really bad Somalis like the Wadaads, by Ethiopians. This is national treachery of historic proprtions and the Kombos are proving themselves to be enemies of the Somali nation ad race.

History will write that under their invitation, Amhara and Tigray boys hopped all over Somalia like rabbits in Spring and killed Somalis for fun and humiliated the nation and the Race.

This is Kombo treachery of the worst kind and the race will hold them solely responsible for the consequences.

This has nothing to do with qabiil. Daaroods were fighting on both sides, as were Hawiyes. Isaaqs on the other hand were only fighting next to the Xabashis...

Mogadishu, 27 Dec. (AKI) - The unrecognised de facto state of Somaliland, located in the northwest Somalia has entered the widening conflict between Somalia's Ethiopian backed transitional government and the Islamist Union of Islamic Courts (UIC) movement - on the side of the government, the Qatari state news agency reports. Somaliland soldiers are reported to be fighting alongside Ethiopian ones on the Galcayo area front.

The area is under the control of Somalia's neighbouring semi-autonomous Puntland region and former warlord Abdiqueybdid. Somaliland fighters and forces opposed to the UIC on Saturday took the city of Jalinsor, the second to fall to the anti-UIC military alliance after Bandiredley. The alliance is said to comprise Somali and Ethiopian government troops, as well as a loose alliance of Somali, Somaliland, and Punta warlords opposed to terrorism. Critics of the UIC allege it has links to the al-Qaeda terror network - claims the UIC denies.

The Arab League is meeting in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on Wednesday to discuss the escalating violence in Somalia, which appears to be verging on a civil war threatening to draw in Ethopia's longterm enemy Eritrea on the side of the UIC as well as other powers.

The UN envoy to Somalia, Francois Lonseny Fall, has urged the Security Council to mediate to end the fighting in the war-ravaged country where 2 million people in the centre and south are also suffering the effects of flooding.

The Security Council is due to resume later on Wednesday its discussions on Somalia after the African Union (AU) on Tuesday said Ethopia has the right to intervene militarily in Somalia as the country feels threatened by the Islamic militia operating there. The UN estimates that at least 8,000 Ethopian troops may be supporting the weak transitional government based in Baidoa in southern Somalia.

So why are almost all the Kombos, with the exception of few daft Cagdheers, are so happy with this Ethiopian invasion?

Because they think it somehow `restores' Daarood dignity and possibly power in Southern Somalia. The defeat of the Wadaads is seen by Kombos as defeat for Hawiyeism.

the defeat of the wadaads means the victory of the duly elected government of Somalia.

The People of Somalia except for a few diehard Talibans and parochial Isaaqs would welcome a just and fair Somali Government.

Let us give it a chance.

And the Ethiopians will soon enough go back to their country. they need not worry about Oromo terrorists trained in Eritrea landing at ports in Xamar and Ceel macaan and Kismaayo to Wage a war of secession against them

Personal opinion by a small opposition party leader does not mean much.

What happened here is is far more serious. Kombo history and Kombo Somaliness is at stake. History will say this: The majority of Kombos at least cheered the invasion of Somalia by Ethiopia.

Galol,

Where did you get that from? There are many UIC supporters that are daarood including some of my closest relatives Laughing

You can see them all over Somalinet too.

The ones that are happy (they hail from all Somali clans and not only daarood.. look at a/wahab for instance) are not necessarily so because of the xabashi invasion but because their lands have been liberated. I don't think any sane Somali wishes for xabashi presence in Somalia, be it Eritrean or Ethiopian.

They have been in Somalia from the beginning laakin. Giving support to both sides. They are fighting a proxy war in Somalia. The UIC and the TFG are both to be blamed for that.
