Aw252, Ashlee~

Forget about him for a second, let's take a look @ the ramifications:

The US will not take such a guy seriously.
Somalia will not get significant support from the Int'l Community.

I think 'TigYey' is still stuck in the Cold War Era, where governments could rely on large handouts.

That era is gone, the good news is a lot of people clamoring for govt. positions will probably find out it's not as lucrative as it once was.

The future, I hope, will be in Private Industry, Trade, Skill, Business Collaborations with Foreign INvestors.

AshyJareerten:

The Xawadle Ambassador was married to a Rer Mahad or Hirsi woman who passed away a few years ago. I know this very well because her mother was Sacad Laughing

He is currently married to a Tanzanian woman & is a raging Alcoholic Laughing

Gedo Boy

And I acknowledge that. But if he indeed dropped outta the Univ of Washington with a few credits to Finish (mind you the Univ of Washington is one of the top universities in the world, being in the TOP 20 WW) whats the hooplah? This guy from what I understand has owned his own small businesses and his been a key proponent in his Community groups. The only reason I see most here are arguing is because of the fact he is an MJ. Siad Barre Surrounded himself with plenty of Mareexans. Even till today the Somali embasy in Saudi Arabia is filled exclusively by mareexans.

He should be judge on his work ethic and what he can do in such a position to bring together a stronger Somalia.

Bin

All the more reason to be educated, as Ambassador is all about show, not go. Making things happen, like Gates, Branson, et. al, requires go, not show. But when dealing with pomp and circumstance, appearance is everything. You NEED a resume, even if it is useless in practical terms. But you know this, you're just begging to differ. Wink

AshyJareerten:

But Siyaad Barre never sent a rooky to Washington, DC.

The TFG focked up.

Every country sends its brightest to the US to serve at Washington, DC or the UN.

But being an ignorant Jareerten, much worse the most Jahiil, Rer Mahad, your Adeer can't understand the world beyond Mudug Laughing

Gedo,

The sad part of the story is...Somali men who are all struggling to get nominated for a postion are 99.9% for greed.. They just want to loot...In their minds to be a head of an office means to loot... I wish we had even 5% who are determined to develop our country and their agenda is for good cause.. Sad

Kam and UB

I know the reason Lug and AW are screaming has nothing to do with the guy's qualifications but rather his qabil affiliation with AY..

However, we have much better, more qulaified and seasoned somali candidates who could fill that sensitive job.

Abu Musa al-Ash'ari said, "I visited the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, with two of my cousins. One of them said, 'Messenger of Allah, give us authority over some of what Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, has appointed you over.' The other said something similar. He said, 'By Allah, we will not appoint anyone over this matter who asks for it nor anyone who is eager for it."

AW

I can't take you seriously. The Ambassador is the same age as my grandfather. They went to the same primary school in bulo burte. Keep talking Ducktales.

Gedo boy

Your clouded by clannish implications my 'wadaad' friend.

The United states will take anybody seriously. They obviously took the UIC seriously by having their 5th fleet patrolling Somalia's Coast.

Its his work ethic that should be judged.

Do you take these guys below "SERIOUSLY"

DROP OUTS:

Paul Allen — Washington State University
Michael Dell — University of Texas at Austin
Larry Ellison — University of Chicago
Shawn Fanning — Northeastern University
Bill Gates — Harvard College
Wayne Inouye — University of California, Berkeley
Steve Jobs — Reed College in Portland, Oregon
Steve Wozniak — University of California, Berkeley

THE founders of Microsoft, Oracle, Dell, Mac all Dropouts

Andrew Jackson, Zach Taylor, Abe Lincoln etc all had little to no formal ED. But these guys are the founding fathers of "THE GREATEST NATION ON EARTH"

Omar Jamal, the INS wanted illegal immigrant at the UN

Bedel, another Jareerten at the UN.

Ashlee~,

My older brother is about his age. If the TFG wanted to give him the position of Ambassador to the US, I would tell them they were making a mistake.

kambuli,

Nabiga (saw) had a rule, he did not give authority or position to people who wanted it:

Abu Musa al-Ash'ari said, "I visited the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, with two of my cousins. One of them said, 'Messenger of Allah, give us authority over some of what Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, has appointed you over.' The other said something similar. He said, 'By Allah, we will not appoint anyone over this matter who asks for it nor anyone who is eager for it."

The reason he did this is because he knew the people who wanted positions did not grasp the weight of it.

However, if you see someone avoiding positions of power, it might mean he/she understands the gravity of the matter.
