Gedo boy

You clan minded fakester Laughing Yes Usama Bin zayd. The man or shall I say boy. didn't have facial hair on his face. But was leading the great armies of the prophet. The prophet had personal inspiration ofcourse. But thats besides the point. Young people have been politically Militarily etc involved since the being of time.

Mikey

"Not as Ambassador. Ambassador is a Senior position."

Michael. Somalia Has uneducated members of Parliament and Top ministers. Do you think An ambassador is more senior than a Minister?

"But he wasn't an ambassador. Ambassador is a senior position."

Mikey The prophet Couldn't read nor write. He was the ambassador of God to all of Mankind. WHAT IS YOUR POINT?

Ashlee~,

I swear I would be against my own brother being the Ambassador to Somalia.

Call me fakester if you want Very Happy

Get your facts straight

Usama bin Zaid only led ONE expedition, and it's because the Prophet appointed him in HIS Wisdom as a Prophet. Some of the Companions questioned it, but it was Abu Bakr who reminded the Sahaba:

"Nor does he speak of (his own) desire."

Otherwise, the most qualified intellectually, knowledge (not nec. education), and ability were appoitned.

For the regular people who didn't receive Inspiration from Allah, Abu Bakr (sa) appointed Khalid bin Waliid as the Commander of the 'Great Armies' and it is because he was OBVIOUSLY the most qualified.

Gedo boy

First it was education now its Age Laughing Clearly you are arguing for the sake of it. Age is nothing but an number.

El Hadj Omar Bongo Ondimba was a pres of a country at 31. so why not an ambassador.

Ashlee, Usama ibn Zayd (RA) was chosen for his wisdom, his ability to lead and in general possesed the necessary qualities to command even though he never asked for that position. Kooshin on the other hand lacks the necessary qualities and qualifications to be a representative of Somalia in the US. You are right that age has nothing to do with this but qualifications do. In fact, he made the first blunder by lying about his degree which shows his "integrity".

This all comes down with clan affiliation if his post is confirmed and you're merely defending him because of clan affiliation walaal, any fool can see through this. The Siyaad era is long gone and despite the fact that many people want to copy and taste what he tasted (ina Yusuf), Somalis will not sit by and take this. It is time that we look at distinguishing qualities instead of which connection one has.

Ashlee~,

Are you insane..........here was my first post w/relation to my rationale:

"They are shooting the LITTLE credibility they had in the foot by asking a 28 yr old to be Ambassador to the most powerful nation on Earth. "

So, first of all it was about age.

JD how can you say one lacks qualities but a 17 year old who was backlashed for being such a young general has qualities? DO you know kooshin? Laughing Your opposed to him for clannish reasons. You assert things without delving into what makes a person qualified to be an ambassador?

DD

I can't take you seriously. Your the same cat who said "Majiraans should get rid of from south of Mudug" Laughing

Credentials papers. I can get a University of Toronto Degree and a PHD but that doesn't make me qualified too be an ambassador. One must be diplomatic and forthright. He could be the best negotiator Somalia has when dealing with the US. But I see a lot of people opposed to him for one reason and one reason only.

Ashlee, what on earth has clan got to do with this. How am I opposing him for "clannish reasons". I have got nothing against his clan nor any clan, in fact, I got dozens of first cousins hailing from his clan. Please tell because one can easily notice that the accusation of "clannish reasons" is a weak defense mechanism so that the other side will not accusate you of the same.

Usama had the required qualities, even for a 17 year old, otherwise the Prophet wouldn't have appointed him unless you accuse the Prophet of appointing someone who wasn't qualified.

I do not know Kooshin and I do not need to know him personally to determin that he is not the right man for this position. Even the majority of the Somali Diaspora in Washington are highly skeptical of Kooshin.

Quote:

"Among local Somalis, who number about 20,000, skepticism is high toward Mohamed. Clan loyalties are strong, Somalia has been a ruined country for decades and many people said they don't trust Mohamed -- or the transitional government -- yet."

Come on walaal, a little reason goes a long way

I didn't stay wisdom starts @ 40.........in general, that is when FULL Wisdom is attained...........

That is the age where many of the Prophets were given their missions........

Usama bin Zaid was an exception. So was Nabiy Yahya. Allah said about him:

" (It was said to his son): "O Yahya (John)! Hold fast the Scripture [the Taurât (Torah)]." And We gave him wisdom while yet a child."

The 40 years is a common theme, not something I'm making up.

"And We have enjoined on man to be dutiful and kind to his parents. His mother bears him with hardship and she brings him forth with hardship, and the bearing of him, and the weaning of him is thirty (30) months, till when he attains full strength and reaches forty years, "
