Since the clans are actual names of ancestors, itÂ’s not surprising that two ancestors could have had the same name. Just like there are many Somalis called farax, there were some called warsangeli.

Somalis all belong to the same tribe, which is why they share the same names. If they were different tribes they would have had different names due to having different languages.
