December 26th 1990...Where were you?

Postby muslim-man » Fri Jan 19, 2007 7:12 pm

On December 26th 1990...at exactly 12 PM I was in my Math class in school when I first heard the first explosion at Hotel Damey (Wardhiigley) that set off the civil war.

Do you remember where you were & what you were doing on that infamous day?

GB,

I was going to General Da'ud hoose dhexe back then, I was looking forward to vacation time only 4 days away. I even remember my math teacher's name: Buun Jabshe. Boooy! was he talented. I saw him years later in Addis Ababa dead broke.

Where were you?

I was in Dugsi Quraan, it closed early. I was so happy. But knew something was up, Macaalinka was tense iyo badh. Miskeen. He was being so nice.
I walked soo slow to get home, me and my brother. My neighbours and other people we're rushing. Then we picked up the place. At home my mother was making alterations to the house.

Lil_Cutie..
I think alot of people will not forget that day. Too dramatic.
My day was spoilt.
