Walle, one's true colours have been manifested in this thread. Why am I not surprised that the same individuals who were endorsing ICU a few weeks ago are the same ones who are vehemently denying that the USC Mooryaans didn't specifically target a certain qabiil and simultaneously sugar-coating their objective that they were fighting the good fight. Eyes-only, you and perhaps 50% of the members here cannot read, let alone sustain a simple discussion since they engage in the habit of twisting words. It is annoying. I'll let you ponder where you twisted my words and views...

Moving along...

Eyes-only, do know that I am not making false statements since it will not serve me any purpose by merely fabricating events. I, amongst the thousands who have survived, witnessed the onslaught and the countless brief encounters where the Mooryaans couldn't finish a single sentence without revealing their hatred for Daaroods. When they captured Baraawe, they stormed every house that was in their sight looking for Daaroods. When they reached my habaryar's house (where we were temp staying) and failed to spot any males, they immediately set their sight on us and my ilma-habreed (Majerteen) who were merely children. They asked if we were Daaroods and were on the verge of grabbing us until my habaryar stepped in and kept screaming that we were not Daaroods. The USC Mooryaans were so twisted that they would kill a mere baby if they found out that he was a Daarood.

What really is messed up and really horrifying is when they used to enter the houses every night looking for Daarood women and bringing them to Masaajid where they were raped through-out the night. Once they couldn't find any Daaroods, they started targeting the minorities and every night one could hear the screams of the girls being raped.

But since you wouldn't take my word for it, here is another account of a Baraawe resident who narrates her trip (see underlined texts).

As for X-playa, you have some real issues. How can you detest a qabiil so much that you want their children to be murdered and raped. As for the Isaaq atrocities, what makes you think I am denying. In fact, what makes you think I am denying any atrocity? I place you under the same category of those who praise their mooryaan rebels (i.e. SNM) irrespective of their committed atrocities, and direct their hatred to a different group so that they could justify their war-crimes. Sxb, go peddle your hate-mongering baloney somewhere else because no one here is buying it.

I remember what my father once told me. He said, things have gone so out of hand that Daarood SNA soldiers who were so angered at the specific targeting of Daaroods and who had lost relatives that they (i.e. the Daarood SNA soldiers) tried to kill the Hawiya SNA soldiers however, alxamdullilah, my father intervened and saved a bunch of innocent Xawaadle soldiers of being killed.

Jeffrey:

Everyone has their own perspective.

If you are DArood, U claim you were the victims of mindless Hawiye savages.

If you are Hawiye, you can claim you were the victims of mindless Darood savages.

The only group who can really claim victims are the minorities. they didn't attack anyone.

AW

You are propably right generally speaking..

But you cannot blame the actions of the Regime on Daarood or even Mareexan alone..

With that said..this particular thread was talking(at least the way it got hijacked) about the atrocities commited by the USC after the fall of Siad Barre..and there is many truth to it..

Cawar:

After the BM-21s started shelling the Hawiye strongholds of Wardhiigley, Huuriwa and soon after the Kofi Gaduud started pulling Hawiye, Issaq men out of their houses and started shooting them,

the war became a Darood vs. Hawiye affair.

The Siyaad barre regime wanted a Hawiye vs. Darood affair. If it was allowed be a USC vs. Siyaad Barre affair, then he would be without any support.

Who could forget what was done in the name of the government to Hawiyes in Central Somalia ?

The birds came to roost on Siyaad's government on Dec. 26, 1990

Jeffrey,

Both Hawiye & Daarood commited crimes against one another, anyone who disputes it is only lying to himself!
