I hate to disappoint you ut this Shiekh is sell-out. He sold himself and his fellow muslim, IUC. It is only fair to admire honesty ones, who lost their lives what they believed in.

I do beleive that Sheikh Shariif is a sincere god-fearing leader, who has a major role to play in the Somali reconciliation effort.

the Americans and the west have come a long way to get that point.

Having said that, there is a little trial from Allah in this affair with the Americans for the Sheikh, as they are calling him a moderate which to some extent equates to "Hypocrite" fal ciyaadu billaah.

there is no Moderation in applying the Shariah as its a complete system.

First of all, the mujahideen that are alive are a lot more than the ones that died and he has a responsibility to them as their leader. He represents the majority of Somalis and as such has also has a responsibility to them to find a way through this. He is a mujahid and a leader, getting him killed in this battle is not in our interest and that is why he is in Nairobi.......for reconciliation talks. When someone offers him the hand of peace he is required as a Muslim leader, to accept it. Ethiopia is withdrawing and the UIC can now engage in talks.

He is a man of peace. If Yasir Arafat was able to sit with Yahuud and talk to them, there is no reason why Sh. Shariif canÂ’t sit and talk with America and the traitors. The traitors are despicable but they are still our people and like Sh. Aweys said, Somalis need to talk amongst themselves and find a solution to their own problems. Ethiopia should stay out of Somalia and its affairs!

some guy, you are right buddy, he was a double agent and sold the ayr hutu-courts to the americans. he is not a traitor to the somali cause, he only sold the ayr hutu-court leadership to the americans. he didn't declare the jihad and was only their poster boi. he had no real power to stop the wishes of aweis and indhocadde to declare jihad and go to war. no somali muslim will trust aweis and indhocadde. he also knows his abgal people didn't trust the ayr and welcomed geedi and the tfg. the americans rescued him from somalia and ten days ago, the american ambassador was telling the tfg to work with him.
